Our Mission

ChopLocal was founded in 2020 because of the problem you see above: the US meat industry is worth billions of dollars, but only a small fraction of those dollars end up in the hands of the farmers who raise that meat.

Our mission is to support an alternative meat supply chain; one that enables farmers and small processors to serve as the retailer and wholesaler.

Our goal is to put more the food dollar in the hands of farmers, butcher shops and rural communities.

ChopLocal Mission
Our plan to make a dent in meat packers profits:
  1. Make it easier for farmers and small processors to sell their meat online.
  2. Develop software that strengthens small meat suppliers' businesses.
  3. Rule the world! (or something like that...)

The most important part of our mission is YOU, the direct-to-consumer farmer or butcher.
